Swing Times Five recreates the masterpieces of the early jazz and swing eras, in concerts, dances, weddings, and festival settings. Hot dance tunes, sweet ballads, and toe-tapping standards are presented with flair and sophistication, adapted to meet the individual needs of each venue.

Swing Times Five brings to life the works of Ellington, Strayhorn, Basie, Gershwin, Arlen, Carmichael, and many more, all rendered with a modern sensibility and impeccable style. These classics of jazz and popular music, from "Tin-Pan Alley" to Broadway, and the "American Songbook", are always fresh and vital in the hands of talented musicians who carry the torch to inspire new generations.

Swing Times Five features five veteran jazz musicians, whose talents and experience have graced the music scene in greater Boston for many years. All have played, and still play, in some the top jazz bands and orchestras in the area. It is their mission to bring to modern audiences the inspired joy, rare quality, and prolific output of the golden era of jazz and popular music.

The band features a tight and tasteful combo of Jeff Hughes on trumpet and flugelhorn, Ross Petot on piano, Dan Weiner on guitar,  Pete Tillotson on bass, and Dave Didriksen on drums. Their music ranges from hot swing dance numbers to dreamy ballads, bringing artistry and integrity to immortal classics from the past.

The group also features singer Debby Larkin, well-known throughout New England for her elegant vocal stylings with a number of premier jazz bands. The band has a unique and haunting sound, which is sure to please any audience that loves good music.
